A: Jen Schuppe will be your main contact personal out of the Ohio South State Office. Her office hours are Tuesday - Thursday 9:00am - 2:00pm. Her email address is firstname.lastname@example.org or 513-576-9555.
Q: What are the rules for Ohio North Teams and GLC qualification in the new league?
A: The rule for Ohio South teams, is that they must qualify for GLC by playing in the OSSL the year prior. Ohio South teams accepted into the GLC First Division and GLC Premier II, are required to also play in the OSSL. Teams in GLC Premier I, have the option of playing in OSSL.
As this is a transitional year, OSSL is not requiring Ohio North teams to follow the above rule this year. Ohio North teams are encouraged to apply and play in OSSL. If they want to play in the GLC, they will go through Ohio North for placement. GLC is rolling over teams from last season due to COVID-19. The only difference is for teams also playing in NWOSL. NWOSL is an OSYSA (Ohio South) registered league. Teams playing in NWOSL and applying to OSSL will have to follow the above rule for Ohio South teams.
Q: Are there guaranteed spots for Ohio North teams within each age group?
A: Ohio North teams that were accepted in the GLC for the 2019-2020 season will have a place in OSSL.
Q: How will the 13s qualify for GLC seed this fall?
A: Ohio North teams will go through ONYSA for seeding in the Ohio North GLC. To determine your seed, the teams will need to participate in the Northern Conference Blue Division for the Fall ONLY. This will allow for our Technical Director's to seed teams accordingly.
Q: Are team fees per season or year?
A: OSSL is one season. The league fee is paid when teams submit their application. The fee to participate in the OSSL is $700.
U12-U14 Boys and Girls season runs from August 7, 2020 - June 6, 2021
U15-U18/19 Boys and Girls season runs from November 6, 2020 - June 6, 2021
Q: Are we carded by Ohio North or Ohio South?
A: Ohio South teams will card through Ohio South Demosphere and Ohio North teams will card through Ohio North Demosphere. Ohio South and Ohio North will share system access, so teams can go through either for changes to their roster.
Q: What/how does this affect the Cup Series requirements?
A: As these are separate Cup Series, teams can only play for the State Association they are registered in.
