The Ohio North Centers of Excellence (COE) program provides soccer organizations with professional coaching expertise for both short-term or seasonal training.
For young players, COE's are typically comprised of six 2-hour training sessions scheduled over the course of a season for groups of 8U, 10U or 12U players.
The three main points of emphases at COE training are Technical Development (dribbling, kicking, heading, and ball control), Conceptual Understanding (attacking, defending and transitioning), and Positional Understanding. Approximately 75% of each session utilizes competitive small-sided games as training tools.
COE's can also be scheduled for youth, high school and college teams on a weekly basis.
?The main emphasis for team training is the understanding of play through the phases of play: attacking, transition to defending, defending, transition to attacking.
